His background

Michael launched L'Auberge Pirate in 2021, at a pivotal moment in his life. Like many people, the pandemic disrupted his day-to-day professional life, but it also marked a turning point in his life. He opted for adventure: changing countries, learning a new language and setting up in business in a remote corner of Mexico, on the enchanting island of Cozumel.

With patience, determination and openness, he has integrated himself into the local community, forging links with locals and visiting travelers alike. Far from a simple tourist project, La Perle Noire was born of a genuine desire for human connection, nature and sharing.

His presence at La Perle Noire

Michael is much more than a manager. He's often the first person you meet when you arrive, and the one who'll listen to you and suggest the best activities for you. Calm, welcoming and attentive, he ensures that every visitor leaves with lasting memories of the island.

Her passions and projects

An avid diver, Michael is currently completing his diving certification. Dive Master in order to be able to accompany guests himself to discover Cozumel's exceptional reefs. He is also co-owner of Reckless Esurfan electric surf school offering an innovative and fun way to explore the lagoon.
